Shitatari has been selected for TAKUMI NEXT 2024, a project to support the export of traditional crafts.

Hello everyone!

I am Hiroshi Nakagawa, in charge of “shitatari,” a mysterious stainless steel sake vessel.

We are pleased to announce that we have been selected by JETRO for this year’s TAKUMI NEXT 2024.

We will actively work hard to expand our business overseas.

The outline is as follows.

From JETRO’s press release

JETRO will implement “TAKUMI NEXT 2024,” a project to support the export of attractive crafts, traditional handicrafts, daily necessities, etc. from various regions of Japan. This year, 190 companies from 34 prefectures have been selected as “Takumi” companies that will lead the next generation of craftsmanship.

TAKUMI NEXT” is a program that supports the export of Japanese crafts to the United States, Canada, France, Sweden, South Africa, Australia, Hong Kong, and other 37 foreign countries, which have a deep understanding of the value of their products and the stories behind them, while selling them through e-commerce and other channels from a market-in perspective that matches the lifestyle and needs of local markets, We are working with 37 overseas buyers in the U.S., Canada, France, Sweden, South Africa, Australia, Hong Kong, and other countries.

In “TAKUMI NEXT 2024,” the sixth edition of the program launched in fiscal 2019, 190 products were selected by overseas buyers, including 131 companies selected for the first time from 34 prefectures across Japan. Takumi” products, including crafts and traditional products selected by overseas buyers, will be promoted overseas through SNS and overseas exhibitions (Formex in Sweden, NY NOW in the U.S., etc.). Selected companies will also conduct online business meetings with overseas buyers, with the aim of linking these meetings to specific overseas sales.

Thank you.
